From the Archive: A Few of Our Favorites

A glimpse into our work — past, preserved, and thoughtfully reimagined.

We are honored to work on homes with stories — some of which are best kept just between us. While many of our projects remain private out of respect for our clients, this curated selection offers a window into our process, philosophy, and point of view.

Cocktail Classic

Charleston, South Carolina

This charming Charleston home came with centuries of stories — and our client wanted to know them all (and share them with style). For this project, we created a custom house history designed to be shared over cocktails and conversation. We traced the property’s ownership through generations, uncovering fascinating details about past residents — from prominent local figures to quiet contributors to Charleston’s layered past. The result? A rich narrative that brought depth and personality to the home, tailored for a homeowner who wanted to entertain with both elegance and insight. Some homes come with a story. This one came with a punchline, a plot twist, and a toast.

Classic Revival

Southampton, New York

For this turn-of-the-century estate built in 1902, we partnered with the project architect to support a thoughtful, preservation-forward renovation that honored the home’s original grandeur. Our work included a full historical narrative of the property, tracing its ties to a prominent New York City family and uncovering the architectural context of early Southampton estates. We provided millwork detailing and design references to guide restoration efforts, and assisted with township coordination to ensure preservation standards were met throughout the process. The result was a seamless blend of past and present — a revitalized home with both elegance and authenticity.

Main Line Archive

Malvern, Pennsylvania

In support of a sensitive renovation on Philadelphia’s Main Line, we partnered with the builder to create a custom historic library focused on the home’s original architectural details and context. This curated archive served as both a preservation tool and an inspiration guide — highlighting period-appropriate elements, material references, and the home’s early 20th-century provenance. The final library provided a foundation for design decisions rooted in authenticity and offered a meaningful connection to the home’s original craftsmanship.
